MESPOM 2015 and beyond

Exactly 10 years ago MESPOM started as one of the first Erasmus Mundus (EM) Masters courses. It felt very special and exciting to pioneer joint European education: selecting students from diverse countries and backgrounds, designing courses based on complementary competences of the partners, setting up common academic quality assurance processes, and, last but not least, arranging the unique graduation ceremony on a boat cruising the beautiful Danube.

MESPOM listed among Top 100 ‘Best Masters for Sustainable Development and Environmental Management Worldwide’

For the year 2014-15, MESPOM ranked 55 under the category ‘Best Masters for Sustainable Development and Environmental Management Worldwide’ by Eduniversal Group on Best-Masters.com. The website lists the top 100 international Masters programs tackling sustainable development and environmental management issues.

MESPOM-professor Gaganis receives Best Paper Award!

MESPOM-professor Gaganis receives Best Paper Award!

Assistant professor to the University of the Aegean and Academic Board Member and teacher at MESPOM Petros Gaganis has been awarded the 2013 Best Paper Award by the Journal Mathematical Geosciences.

Together with his colleague Phaedon Kyriakidis, he received the award for his paper "Efficient Simulation of (Log)Normal Random Fields for Hydrogeological Application" published in Mathematical Geosciences, 45 (5).

Diane Matar '09 (Lebanon) at the IUCN World Parks Congress

Doctoral candidate, MESPOM alumna 2007-2009, Diane Matar successfully participated in the IUCN World Parks Congress that took place at the Sydney Olympic Park on Nov. 12-21. In the framework of the congress' Stream 1: Reaching Conservation Goals, Diane shared with the audience the results of the first management effectiveness evaluation of UNESCO Biosphere Reserves in North Africa.
