Professor Diana Urge-Vorsatz of the CEU Department of Environmental Sciences and Policy chairs a session at the Copenhagen Climate Congress. The Congress organised by the International Association of Research Universities was attended by more than 2000 participants, the Prime Minister of Denmark and all the key scientist working in the whole spectrum of climate research, and was very widely covered by international media. CEU represented the only chair from the entire Eastern Europe and North Eurasia whereas other sessions were chaired by leading research universities around the world (see http://climatecongress.ku.dk/programme/sessions09.03.2009.pdf/).
