Malcolm Dalesa '12 (Vanuatu) in charge of climate change

After completion of the MESPOM program, I returned home to Vanuatu around mid 2012. I commenced on a new job towards the end of 2012 as a climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction officer with the Vanuatu Meteorology and Geo-hazards Department.

Nara Wisesa '10 (Indonesia)

I am Nara Wisesa from Indonesia, and I was in the Batch 4 MESPOMites (2008-2010).  After stints working for an environmental and an ecotourism consultants, I now work with WWF-Indonesia's Coral Triangle division.  My main role is to monitor and evaluate the progress and achievements of our programs within the Coral Triangle.

Jimena Montane's '14 (Mexico) photo exibited at the World Parks Congress

Jimena Montane's '14 (Mexico) photo was selected among the winners of the 1st round of the Second IUCN Red List of Ecosystems photo contest. The photo also got exhibited at the World Parks Congress in Sydney in November, 2014.

Jimena took her photo in Kruger National Park while conducting her thesis project in Phalaborwa, South Africa.

Haiya Zhang '14 (China)

I currently work for International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), which is a regional intergovernmental learning and knowledge sharing centre based in Kathmandu, Nepal, serving the eight regional member countries of the Hindu Kush Himalayas.

Kevin Ummel '11 (USA)

I was recently offered a position at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) in Vienna, Austria, where I will join a team working on energy poverty and equity issues. This is one of many steps in my career path which ultimately results out of studying in the MESPOM program.
