Well, in my case MESPOM was the key to start a career as an environmental policy consultant in a large company.

I am Miao Qing, from China, a MESPOMer in 2012-2014. After I graduated, I came back to Beijing and joined a startup company with social-media management software and social marketing strategy service. I am always thinking about how to combine what I learned during my bachelor and MESPOM. This newly Startup Company enables me to do so.

2014 Student Policy Conference “Crisis and Transition”

On December 19th, the final day of the semester, the CEU Environmental Sciences and Policy department MSc students held the 2014 Student Policy Conference “Crisis and Transition”. As elaborated by the Conference Organization Committee, which was made up of ten students responsible for coordination and implementation of the conference, the conference theme referred to the many environmental crises our world faces today.

MESPOM 2015 and beyond

Exactly 10 years ago MESPOM started as one of the first Erasmus Mundus (EM) Masters courses. It felt very special and exciting to pioneer joint European education: selecting students from diverse countries and backgrounds, designing courses based on complementary competences of the partners, setting up common academic quality assurance processes, and, last but not least, arranging the unique graduation ceremony on a boat cruising the beautiful Danube.

Diane Matar '09 (Lebanon) at the IUCN World Parks Congress

Doctoral candidate, MESPOM alumna 2007-2009, Diane Matar successfully participated in the IUCN World Parks Congress that took place at the Sydney Olympic Park on Nov. 12-21. In the framework of the congress' Stream 1: Reaching Conservation Goals, Diane shared with the audience the results of the first management effectiveness evaluation of UNESCO Biosphere Reserves in North Africa.
