Erasmus+:Erasmus Mundus scholarships

Outstanding candidates are offered E+:Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Degree (EMJMD) Scholarships of

  • maximum €47,000 per two years of study to outstanding students from outside Europe (Partner Country Scholarships),
  • and scholarships of €33,000 to European-based candidates (Programme Country Scholarships). 

The EMJMD scholarship types are based on the residency of selected applicants:

I) Programme Country scholarships:

for selected applicants who are citizens of one of the countries of the European Union, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Turkey.

Programme Country scholarships are of the following contributions:

  • Contribution to participation costs: €4,500/academic year (€9,000 for two academic years).
  • Contribution to travel costs: €1,000/academic year (€2,000 for two academic years).

Note: Programme Country students who are residents of the country where their EMJMD mobility takes place are ineligible for this contribution.

  • Contribution to subsistence costs: €1,000/month (€22,000 for two academic years).

Note: Programme Country students who are residents of the country where their EMJMD mobility takes place are ineligible for this contribution.

  • The remaining tuition fees will be waived by the consortium.

II) Partner Country scholarships:

for selected applicants from all other countries (who are citizens of one of the countries not listed above), provided that they are not residents nor have carried out their main activity (studies, training or work) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in any of the Programme Countries listed above.

Partner Country scholarships are of the following contributions:

  • Contribution to participation costs: €9,000/academic year (€18,000 for two academic years).
  • Contribution to travel and installation costs: up to €7,000 for two academic years.
  • Contribution to subsistence costs: €1,000/month (€22,000 for two academic years).
  • The remaining tuition fees will be waived by the consortium.

In order for us to determine the type of scholarship you are eligible you are required to submit: 

a scanned copy of an official document that certifies your residence. The residence certificate needs to be issued in accordance with your municipality's normal registration rules. It must be an officially notarized copy in English or an official English translation of the original document and must have been issued within 12 months before the application deadline. Applicants selected for an Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Degree scholarship will be required to submit the original of the uploaded document at the time of enrollment.
