Launching the First Mentoring & Career Programme of the MESPOM Alumni Association

August and September 2020 saw the launch of the first Mentoring & Career Programme organized and designed by the MESPOM Alumni Association. This program aims at building new connections between mentors (MESPOM Alumni) and mentees (recent MESPOM graduates), enhancing their career prospects.

She’s currently working as a Research Assistant at IIIEE, exploring the role that different intellectual property models play in accelerating sustainability transitions within the IPACST project (Intellectual Property Models for Accelerating Sustainability Transitions).

I'm currently doing my PhD at Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC), University of Twente, the Netherlands. I am doing research on behavior change in response to climate change from both consumers and producers' perspective. The case study I chose is sustainable coffee production in Vietnam and consumption in Germany.

From Canada to Europe to Sri Lanka to southern Africa, MESPOM alumna (2018) Anita Lazurko talks about her journey studying climate adaptation and transformations to sustainability in multiple cultural contexts. She is currently back in Canada for a PhD at the University of Waterloo and was a recent recipient of the prestigious Trudeau Scholarship Award. We are very proud!
